My name is Holly Lipschultz, and I am currently employed in a major university library in Chicago, IL, supervising student workers at the Circulation desk.

I also volunteer for I Need A Library Job (INALJ) as the Head Editor for Illinois, adding IL lib jobs every weekday to the page (anywhere from 50-70 jobs per week). I also am the Articles Editor for INALJ, editing, formatting, and scheduling blog posts submitted by all the Head Editors. When you get a chance, head on over there and read some of the excellent posts made by my colleagues.

I’ve been working in libraries for about 11 years. I started volunteering as a freshman in high school, and have worked in a wide variety of libraries. Most of my experience is still in public libraries, but I have gained some considerable experience in academic libraries, lately. Please feel free to check out my resume below.

Aside from this blog, you can also find my public profiles on LinkedIn, Twitter and on G+. To be honest, I’m not very good at updating the latter two, but every couple of months, I give it another try.

You are doing everything I have to do for my classes at SJSU this semester! I don’t see you on my rosters, though. You must be in a different section of each. I have Botenball for Libr 200-27 and Sawyer for Libr 204-21. It’s somewhat weird and comforting to see your words mirroring my own work. What a hoot!

    Hi Candy!

I’m in Bontenbal for LIBR 200-12, and Sawyer for LIBR 204-20, as well as MacKay for LIBR 202-12. That’s awesome we share two of the same teachers, and no wonder we have the same assignments! Maybe we’ll be classmates in our future classes.

I’m glad you’re enjoying my blog. Do you have a blog of your own?
